Benin is at a decisive turning point in its path towards emergence.
The challenges we face are immense, but the potential for overcoming them is even greater. This potential lies within each and every one of us, but it takes on a particular strength within the Beninese diaspora. Far from the borders, we are not spectators, but committed actors, bearers of ideas, solutions and key resources to build the Benin of tomorrow.
We, the Beninese Diaspora, are a reservoir of possibilities, a driving force for innovation, action and influence. Together, we are indispensable to our country's success.
Romuald Wadagni's nomination as candidate for the 2026 presidential election paves the way for an orderly transition and a perspective of reform continuity in keeping with our great democratic tradition and the course of modernization embarked upon since 2016. Under his economic leadership, Benin has strengthened its financial credibility, diversified its sources of international financing, improved its budgetary transparency and secured major agreements with the Bretton-Woods institutions, despite global shocks.
Today, it's time to move up a gear.
The diaspora can and must become the driving force behind a new impetus, like those nations that have built their success on the genius of their citizens abroad.
