Romuald Wadagni's nomination as candidate for the 2026 presidential election paves the way for an orderly transition and a perspective of reform continuity in keeping with our great democratic tradition and the course of modernization embarked upon since 2016. Under his economic leadership, Benin has strengthened its financial credibility, diversified its sources of international financing, improved its budgetary transparency and secured major agreements with the Bretton-Woods institutions, despite global shocks.
Today, it's time to move up a gear. The diaspora can and must become the driving force behind a new impetus, like those nations that have built their success on the genius of their citizens abroad.

The policy of returning Afro-descendants has revived a historical and cultural link, transforming it into a powerful lever for economic development. Today's Benin is living proof of what we can achieve together when our potential is fully unleashed.
Romuald Wadagni is himself the embodiment of this potential. A child of the world, a Beninese from the Diaspora, he has proved, at the head of the national economy, that the excellence and patriotism of the Beninese can also be found abroad. His leadership has been rewarded on several occasions, making him one of Africa's best Finance Ministers, in recognition of the budgetary rigor and financial transparency that have propelled Benin towards robust growth. His work has positioned Benin as a model of economic growth and stability on the African continent.

We are committed to federating, co-constructing and proposing ideas, solutions and answers to enrich the candidate's vision of society. Through thematic working groups (industry, youth/employment, digital, high-value agriculture, health, education, climate/green finance) bringing together the best minds in the diaspora, we will contribute innovative ideas and solutions to meet our country's future challenges.
We will be partners in the development of our country by structuring Benin's human capital through a pool of 1,000 skilled, patriotic experts from the diaspora, organized by sector, to help our country succeed.
